Have you ever noticed how vacationing with friends – both old and new – elevates the entire experience? I definitely have, and I absolutely love it! There’s something magical about sharing the day’s adventures, meals, and laughs with a fun group… and then retreating to your own peaceful stateroom at night to recharge. It’s truly the best of both worlds!

One of my favorite ways to cruise with friends is by joining the Disney Cruise Line Blog Group Cruises. Since 2019, these sailings – organized by Storybook Destinations in partnership with the Sanders family – have been a highlight of my travel calendar. With the exception of 2021, we’ve set sail every year with an amazing group of people and an exciting itinerary. Here’s a quick look at where we’ve been:
- 2019 – Disney Dream – Our inaugural cruise to the Bahamas
- 2020 – Disney Magic – Another amazing Bahamian adventure
- 2022 – Disney Wish – A Very Merrytime sailing
- 2023 – Disney Wish – Halloween on the High Seas
- 2024 – Disney Wonder – An unforgettable journey to Alaska
- 2025 – Disney Magic – Cay to Cay – both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!

Each trip brings together returning friends, new faces, and family from all walks of life and all over the map. We’ve had cruisers from age 2 to 70+, and everyone has a great time. From energetic games of shuffleboard and trivia challenges to scavenger hunts, group excursions, crab races, Palo brunches, tea and scones, and dinners together each night – there’s always something happening (or not happening, if relaxing is more your style – this is your vacation, after all!).
Whether you’re a seasoned cruiser or thinking about your first sailing, there’s something truly special about experiencing it with a group like this. You’ll laugh (guaranteed), try new things, and make memories that last far beyond disembarkation day!
So… how about joining us next time? We’re sailing on the gorgeous new Disney Destiny in August 2026, and I promise, once you cruise with us, it will be your new favorite!
